How To Enter

Why?
- VALIDATION - We're known for picking companies that are poised to go places and do big things. After winning an award in 2009, Seth Priebatsch, Chief Ninja at SCVNGR said, “It's been absolute madness over here at SCVNGR! Win an MITX award and suddenly the phones don't stop ringing!"
- CONNECTIONS - You'll have the opportunity to make connections with the region's buyers, investors and influencers – both in-person and online.
- RECOGNITION - This one's a no-brainer. The Awards is a low-cost opportunity to help you raise your profile within the marketplace.
- CELEBRATION - The event itself will be a celebration of the industry. In other words, a party. Need we say more?
Okay, now the boring stuff; here's what you need to know about entering:
1. Applications will be accepted via the online submission process. We have provided a copy of the online submission process as a PDF as your planning document only.
2. Eligibility:
- Participation is limited to companies that have developed products or new versions in New England in the past two years (Feb. 2010 – Feb. 2012).
- Previous entrants are eligible if a new version of the product/service has been released, or if new features have been made in the past two years.
- Entrants are not required to be MITX members.
- Entrants can submit the same entry in up to two categories, paying a separate entry fee for each category.
- Entries must be in final form; incomplete entries may be disqualified at MITX's discretion.
- Products must be installed and/or fully functional, except for submissions in the Bootstrapped Start-up category where the product minimally must be demonstrable.

- Checks need to be payable in US dollars to Massachusetts Innovation & Technology Exchange and can be mailed to: MITX, ONE Marina Park Drive, 14th Floor,
Boston, MA 02210. Please include your Contact Information and Entry Title with your check.
- All fees must be paid by Friday, April 8, 2012 to be eligible to be judged.
4. Important Considerations:
- MITX is not responsible for determining whether or not entrants have credited the appropriate developers or obtained approval.
- MITX is not liable for misrepresentation due to a lack of information provided from the entrant.
- MITX reserves the right to re-categorize entries and/or create, consolidate or eliminate categories at its discretion.
- In order to receive the member rate, you must be a MITX corporate member at the time of your entry.
